Black Friday Is 90 Days Away and Your Systems Aren't Ready (Neither Are You)

I did the math the other night while I was closing my laptop later than I meant to, and my stomach dropped a little. Ninety days. That's it. That's what stands between right now and Black Friday.

Ninety days sounds like a lot until you actually count it out. It's basically tomorrow.

And if you're anything like the women I work with, some part of you already knew that. It's the thing sitting quietly in the back of your mind while you're still trying to enjoy the last bit of summer, still catching up from vacation, still getting the kids back into the school routine. You know Q4 is coming. You know it's your biggest selling season. And if you're honest, you also know your systems are nowhere close to ready for it.

The Real Problem

I get it. Last September, I had a client tell me she'd spent the entire month of November two years in a row just "winging it" during her biggest sales push, because she never got around to setting anything up ahead of time. Emails went out late. Leads sat in her inbox for days before she responded. She made sales, sure, but she was white-knuckling the whole thing, running on adrenaline and 11 pm scrambles, and by December she was so burned out she could barely enjoy the holidays she'd worked so hard for.

That's the pattern I see over and over. It's not that women entrepreneurs don't know Black Friday matters. It's that the actual groundwork, the unglamorous behind-the-scenes stuff, keeps getting pushed to "next week" until next week is suddenly the week of.

Schedule with a purpose

Here's the thing though. The businesses that walk into Q4 feeling calm instead of frantic aren't the ones with more hours in the day than you. They're the ones who did a few key things in September and October instead of November.

  1. Email marketing. It needs to be ready to actually carry the weight of a launch. That means your list is warm, your automations are built, and you're not trying to write a Black Friday sequence from scratch the week before while also trying to fulfill orders.

  2. Your CRM. It needs to be a place you trust, not a place you avoid. If leads are getting lost in your inbox right now, that only gets worse when your inbox triples in volume come November.

  3. Your content. It needs to already be batched and scheduled, so you're not staring at a blank caption box on the busiest sales day of the year, trying to write something clever while also answering customer questions and packing orders.

None of that is complicated. It's just time-consuming, and it's exactly the kind of thing that's easy to keep deprioritizing when there's always something louder demanding your attention today.

Why Will Power Isn't the Fix

This is the part where I'd love to just tell you to buckle down and knock it all out yourself this weekend. But if that worked, you'd have already done it. The truth is, most of the women I work with don't need more willpower. They need someone else in the system with them, actually building the thing, so it exists before November instead of during it.

What a VIP Day Actually Solves Here

That's a lot of what a VIP Day is for. One focused day where we set up the CRM, the email automations, the content batching, whatever's going to carry the biggest weight for your business this Q4, so it's just there and working when the season hits. No scrambling, no 11 pm panic sessions, no wondering if this is the year it all falls apart during your biggest sales week.

You've still got a little time before ninety days turns into ten. If you want to talk through what your business actually needs ready before Black Friday, I'd love to grab some time and figure it out together. And if you're not ready for that yet, comment below and tell me what part of Q4 prep feels the most overwhelming right now. I read every single one.
